Altum Designs | Bicycle Multi-Tools
MODUAL is a Tapei Cycle Design & Innovation 2017 award winner
The tool's functionality can be configured to match the requirements of your bike
The tool's elongated body offers superior leverage over other tools
Tyre levers snap magnetically to either side forming an ergonomic handle
MTR features a ripstop-lined zipped pouch for your cycling essentials
A concealed magnet in the top flap of MTR means you don't risk loosing your tool bits
Magnetic elements keep everything together, and there's something immensely pleasing about the way the two integrated tyre levers slide into place.
In my experience these sort of tools give you much greater functionality than multitools that fold up but, take up more space. I think this is where the MODUAL wins as they’ve addressed this with the roll it comes with, which came be stowed under the saddle.
Altum Designs has designed a most innovative and ingenious tool and roll.
One clever feature of the MODUAL is how the tool body features two bit slots - one aligns with the tool lengthwise to act as a screwdriver while the other is perpendicular so you can use it like a wrench.
A decent set of easily-accessible tools. Not tested long-term, but feels solid.
